District Judge, John Feikens, held that plaintiff's patent was an obvious extension of previously existing patents and was thus invalid under 35 U.S.C. Â§ 103 (1976).We affirm. Plaintiff, Britax, Ltd., of London is the assignee of patent No. 3,237,729, granted to Ronald A. Proctor on March 1, 1966. The Proctor patent involves a seat-belt locking system that is activated by accelerations or decelerations of a specified level. This system allows unrestricted movement of the wearer provided there is no sharp or sudden force on the belt or harness.
